Lo confieso, amo el papel. Desde muy pequeña el papel y yo hemos tenido una relación de amor secreta, tengo trocitos de papel de todo tipo y es algo de lo que no hablo mucho porque es un amor especial, muy mío, muy de dentro.
I must confess; I love paper. Since I was little paper and I have had a secret love affair, I have all sorts of bits of paper stashed all over my house. It is something I don’t talk much about because it is a special love, that I like to keep to myself.

Gracias a ese maravilloso material conocí hace muchos años atrás a Elsa Mora. Un día navegando por el mar internetiano fui a parar a una de sus islas, The Hear of Papercuts y caí enamorada de su trabajo, de sus posts y exploré su maravilloso mundo. El mundo internetiano creado por Elsa Mora es rico en disciplinas, desde papel a muñecas, a un blog donde explorarse a sí misma… Todo conectado por un sentimiento tan puro, tan mágico y tan genuino como es el AMOR. Y lo escribo así con mayúsculas porque si algo he aprendido de Elsa a través de estos años y de sus blogs es que ella ama lo que hace y ese amor traspasa mi pantalla y la distancia física que nos separa.
Thanks to this material I met Elsa Mora a long time ago. One day while I was sailing the internetian sea I stumbled upon one of her islands; The Heart of Papercuts and I fell in love instantly with her work, her posts and I started exploring her wonderful universe. Her world is rich in disciplines, from paper to dolls and even a blog where to explore your inner self… But it is all connected with a pure, magical and genuine feeling: LOVE. But the capital letters love because after following her blogs for so long I have realised that Elsa loves what she does and that love surpasses my screen and the physical distance that separates us.

¿Cómo empezó tu amor por el papel?
De donde procedo el papel no era algo fácil de conseguir. Éramos pobres y cualquier cosa sobre la que podía dibujar era un tesoro para mí. Así es como mi amor por este material empezó.
Un trozo de papel es material en blanco para la creatividad. Y sigo viéndolo así.
How did your love for paper start?
Where I come from paper was not something that you took for granted. We were poor so anything that I could draw on was a treasure to me. That’s how my appreciation for this material started.
A piece of paper meant raw material for creativity. I still see it that way.
¿Cuándo te picó el gusanillo de recortar papel?
En 2007, vi unas maravillosa creaciones de papel por internet. Mi curiosidad me llevo a Amazon.com donde compré un libro sobre cómo recortar papel. Desde entonces no he dejado de explorar este medio.
When did you get the paper cutting bug?
In 2007, when I saw some great paper pieces on the Internet. My curiosity took me to Amazon.com where I bought a book about papercutting. From then on my explorations haven’t stopped.

Todo.

Everything.

Hot colors for Winter and cold colors for Summer. Just like tea.

* Identificar qué es importante.
* Eliminar todo lo que no lo es.
* Una idea precisa de lo que quieres hacer.
* Un plan.
* Y disciplina para llevar a cabo el plan.

* No TV.

Algo que no hayas creado aún que te gustaría crear?
Tengo una lista interminable de cosas. Mientras la mente se mantenga despierta nuevas ideas surgirán y nuevas cosas se crearán. Me imagino que el proceso se interrumpe con la muerte.
Something you haven’t created yet that is still on your to do list?
I have an endless list. As long as the mind is awake new ideas will keep arriving and new things will be created.
I imagine that this process stops only when you die.
